By donating eight Wenaflex bed inserts and eight mattresses worth a total of around 4,000 Euros, the Wenatex business supports the house run by the Ronald McDonald Children’s Aid organisation in Salzburg.
Under the motto “Nähe hilft heilen” (Closeness Aids Healing), the organisation helps families of severely ill children being treated at the state hospital by providing a temporary home nearby. “By providing this donation, we want to help the concerned families to at least find a little relaxation and healthy sleep during this difficult time.” explain Wenatex owners Sonja and Hans-Gerd Wernicke.
The successful Salzburg enterprise has been strongly committed to supporting a number of social projects over the years. This is because Wenatex considers it a part of the company’s social responsibility to help the weakest members of society. For this special social commitment, Wenatex has received a number of awards, as well as a nomination for the Betrieblicher Sozialpreis (corporate social responsibility award) in 2012.
