Wenatex donates mattresses to the Red Cross

With the donation of two orthopaedic mattresses, the Wenatex business in Salzburg supports the voluntary workers of the Red Cross office in St. Johann im Pongau.

Due to a lack of funds, the old and worn mattresses in the bedrooms of the local Red Cross branch couldn’t be replaced until now. This is because the voluntary department is not granted any financial support, but relies solely on donations. Thanks to the new Wenatex mattresses, the volunteers are now able to rest comfortably during night duty.

For many years now, Wenatex has been committed toward facilitating healthy and restful sleep, as well as supporting a number of social projects. For the company’s social commitment, Wenatex has received a number of nominations and awards from various organisations, including two awards by Pro Mente and a first time nomination for the Betrieblicher Sozialpreis (corporate social responsibility award) in 2012. Both awards are presented for particularly sustainable social projects that are run within companies.
