Does Counting Sheep Really Work?
Have you tried counting sheep to help you get to sleep? If so, you’ve just used one of the oldest remedies for insomnia.
However, scientists don’t put much stock in this method of falling asleep. On the contrary: sleep researchers claim that counting a flock of bleating sheep actually makes you feel more stressed. It is better to imagine a relaxing scene such as lying on the sand at a beach or inhaling the clear air of a mountain peak.
Surrender to your imagination and leave the sheep with their flock. Then maybe you’ll fall asleep more quickly.
