For over 20 years, Prof. Dr. Michael Vitek has been in practice as a medical specialist in the field of knee surgery, arthrosis (osteoarthritis) and joint therapy, joint preservation, joint replacement and orthopaedic surgery, head of the centre for outpatient foot surgery in Vienna and president of the Austrian Society Against Arthrosis. In his numerous guidebooks, lectures and workshops on the subject of foot surgery, orthopaedics, arthrosis and intervertebral discs, he also speaks about the importance of a high-quality sleep system. “The wrong bed can, by all means, be the source or intensifier of back complaints, and can even totally negate the best methods of therapy against back pain.” says Prof. Dr. Vitek.
